Merry Christmas, y'all!
I just updated our listing on the site to link to Hilary's blog, which she has kept up (more or less) since Caspian was born in July '06. If you'd like to keep up with our shenanigans, check it out at http://taliajenea.blogspot.com.

Dear family, here is an urgent prayer request from Lori to pray for Joe. We appreciate all your prayers at this critical time. The second part you will see is a letter from Joe about his duties. Thanks again for helping us pray. Berdena and Gene

Hello all!
I just wanted to send out a quick request for prayer. I have rarely heard Joe Lawson so frustrated as he was on the phone tonight. He's really at the center of coordinating for all the soldiers in our unit to come home. He's under A LOT of pressure and stress - more than at other times in the deployment.
Here's two things you can do to help:
1) Pray that flight times will be resolved and stable and that the list of those on them would also be set. Daily changes in the status of 800 soldiers is wearing him out. Pray for strength (physical and mental) for him as he just got his 2nd anthrax shot this week on top of everything. He's not feeling 100% at this VERY crucial time in the deployment. He's also working with many people and has to keep them all communicating during this stressful time for everyone.
2) Send him an email of encouragement. Anything that just lets him know that you are thinking about him and/or praying for him. Short jokes or cartoons would be welcome I'm sure.
Thanks so much for hanging in there with us through this deployment. His scheduled Mid-Oct homecoming can't come fast enough!
Blessings,
Lori Lawson

It's that time of year again! Website renewal time! My dad has footed the bill of $110 to keep the site up for the next year, so I'm sure he would appreciate it if each of his siblings would contribute $11 or so to share the costs. (Feel free to give a little more if you'd like, since he may not receive contributions from everyone...)
Please send your share to my dad, not to me. Thanks!

(Here's an update from Mark:)
On the 4th of July they performed with a live band outdoors at a large event in Greenville, SC.
In August they will be recording their first demo Album. Their music is phenomenal and always had a great impact.
After more than a year, they finally made that mission trip to Belize, CA where the four of them sang, did drama, and ministered to many one on one. Several deaf people received their hearing and a blind person received their sight! They weekly minister to hundreds of teens and children.
Also, here's a recent press release and bio.

For those of you who still read the family web site, the Boughers need our prayers desperately. Meredith's 11 year old granddaughter has been diagnosed with cancer. You can read all about it at her web site,
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/kennedy1
Just keep her and the entire family in your prayers.
Mom Fiskeaux is really struggling right now. She has hurt her back and has been down for a couple of weeks now. Thank goodness for Pierce. He's been waiting on her hand and foot. The doc has told her that it will just take time to heal.
Just wanted to update everyone.

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that your brother, Homer, is RETIRING this Friday! He can't wait. Grandma says she is not old enough to have a son retire:) We are so glad for him, as the last few months have been very stressful for him. Linda is doing well and so are we. Hope your families are all well. Talk to you soon.

We are so glad no storms have hit you, Malinda! The reports did sound bad. We are having record warm weather this spring - 71 today. So with this beautiful weather and time, we have been outside already. It is wonderful.
I am planning to be home from April 10th through 24th, flying into Ashville this time. Ed suggested it might be better. I am looking forward to spring in the Carolinas. It has been so long since I was home in spring. Hope to see some of you. Pray you are all well. We are fine except for a touch of a cold. Love, Dena

Malinda, how close did the storms come to you? I guess you know spring has come when the tornados start! We only had some light snows here, never anything of substance.
Are you doing okay?
We plan to spend a weekend with Ron and Sandy Falstreau March 16-18. You remember he is Mr. Fiskeaux's cousin that we found on the internet. They are such nice people!

I have just finished my recipe book, Mom's Missionary Meals ... My children requested that I put all of my favorite receipes together in a book for them. While I was in the process of doing this, several people requested a copy when I finished it. I have decided to offer it for sale for $8.00 plus $3.00 to cover postage. I will use the proceeds of this project for a missions project that I am involved in. If you are interested in some of the cook books you may drop me a note at PO Box 900, Westfield, IN 46074.
Sarah, Zack, and little Larissa are doing well in Honduras. They are all adjusting well and getting involved in the ministry work there. Zack is already preaching and Sarah has been made the head of the Christian Education Committee. They will both be teaching in the Bible school that Rusty founded when we were there. The school year begins in February so they are gearing up for a school year to begin.
May God bless!
