Hi everyone,

Just wanted to wish all of my family a very happy Thanksgiving!

This would be a great place to post a Christmas letter to all the family. What do ya think? Could save us some postage.

As we go into the Christmas and Advent season of the year, I hope that all of you will have a relaxing, safe, and stress-free holiday season.

Love,
Frankie

Well, it doesn't seem that too many people are using this chat room, but I wanted to let everyone know that Mom Fiskeaux is officially moved now. We attempted to have a yard sale Saturday, but I have to say that it was kind of a flop. We wound up taking a lot of stuff to Salvation Army. But everything which was to be moved from the house has now been moved including the dog. I asked her Friday night if she felt at home now in the trailer and she said that it did feel like home. It's defnitely much nicer than the house!! And will be a whole lot warmer this winter.

We don't have the capability to "attach" any pictures, but that is a possibility for the future. The only drawback in considering it with our current hosting solution is that we only have 50MB of space, so before too long we would run out of space, and then some images would have to be deleted manually or it could be done automatically, which still wouldn't be the best thing.

If this site becomes useful and that's functionality we want to move to, we can look at upgrading hosting plans (this current one is free, and we'd have to upgrade to a paid plan that might cost $7/month or more in order to get more disk space).
What does everyone think? Would this site be useful enough if it had picture upload capabilities to warrant paying a little for hosting fees?

How do I attach a digital picture?
Please advise

I went home this past weekend and worked with Billy, Homer, Ed, Mark, and Ray (Billy's father-in-law.) We put up the metal roofing and most of the siding on the storage building. There is still another hard day's work to complete the siding, trim, door, etc.
The landlord, Tom Moxley, also brought a small metal building for the freezer.
Mom seems to have adjusted to the trailer, although there are still a lot of "things" at the old place.

Blessings
Charlie

I agree with Berdena. Please don't wait too long. The move is taking place this weekend. I went down Saturday and we moved quite a lot and the guys started building the storage building. After being with Grandma the entire day, I realized that she needed to get out of the house quickly. This entire episode is hitting her pretty hard, but she was adamant about moving as soon as possible. So, therefore, she is being moved today. At least she will be living in the trailer and everyone is trying to get her some peace of mind. I had to work today or I would be there too.

She's having to give up a lot of memories. Items she has kept for years, but no longer will she have room for them. It's tough just watching her!

Just keep her in your prayers and send your suggestions to Dena. She is going to need financial help on a monthly basis.

Yes! This is much easier to use. Thanks, C2! If everyone used this message board, I could have written the letter I sent to you all here. Please do get back to me with your views about the ideas proposed in the letter. We should not wait very loing before getting started.

Hi Everyone,

This is fabulous for us to keep in touch with. I really like it.

I have been so very busy with school starting and also going to school now full-time. I have enrolled in a Masters of Education online 18-month program with Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. I teach all day and do studies online all night (seems literally sometimes).

So, I'm out of the loop with Mother moving. Guess I'd better make that call.

Thanks for keeping in touch like this.

Hello everyone:

Charlie II has redesigned the chat board, hopefully to be more user friendly. Check it out and see if it will work better for us.

By the way, Mom is in process of finalizing arrangements to move from her present home where she and Dad have lived for the past 27 years. She is working on moving into a 2-bedroom trailer located on Earl Ford Road, near the 4-way stop sign. If you have not discussed this with her, she would welcome a call from you to discuss it with you.

Let Charlie II know your thoughts on the new chat room. Is it better? Is it worth keeping? Your thoughts are important.

Blessings,

Cha-David.
