I agree, I was worried as well. While its annoying to deal with, I am glad to hear it is something controllable and treatable! Thank you Lord.

Homer,
I was anxious when I heard that you were having chest pain and breathing problems. I am relieved that it is asthma.
I trust that everyone has a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Homer, sorry to hear about your asthma. But we are glad there is medicine for giving some relief.
Happy New Year, family! May God continue to bless us all!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the pulmonologist is 99% confident that Homer has asthma. He gave him a Z-pack and an inhaler. It seems to be helping him. He admitted that it started about 2 months ago. He built a bird feeder out of cedar. He knew that if he worked with any walnut wood, it would cause some of these same problems but no where as severe. The Dr. said that cedar is one of the most caustic dust that you can breath. From now on, he will wear a respirator!!

Yesterday I spoke with Linda about how she and Homer are doing. Linda still deals with her liver situation which has not improved and is waiting for reconstructive surgery on the colon. Linda said that Homer recently had a heart catheterization and the doctor said that his heart is okay. But he is still having some type of chest-breathing problems. He expects to undergo more tests on his lungs. So we can continue to remember Linda in our prayers and add Homer to our prayers for this health.

Thanks, Lori! Glaad your arm is healing. How long do they tell you it will ache like that ?
It is amazing how your body heals itself, isn't it? I have no idea when I can go back to work. The muscles across my shoulders are very weak from disuse and send me back down in the recliner after aboug an hour of being up. I push my limits but can't seem to get very much further.

So sorry to hear it and sympathizing with you, Aunt Patti! I just got out of the cast from breaking my arm in a fall on Mt Sinai. It's amazing how things heal, but I could do without the constant ache. Get well!

Thanks for asking, Berdena. I fell at the church on my lunch hour on Sept. 6 and broke both bones in my wrist and fractured my shoulder. Had surgery on my wrist and a plate and pins put in. They treated my shoulder by putting it in a sling and telling me to stay down and not do anything. I am about all healed but my right arm doesn't function much. Have been having physical therapy on my hand, but haven't been approved yet for pt on my shoulder and am still off work. I would appreciate your prayers for my patience and healing.

Patty, I didn't know you fell. How are you? Did you break anything? Hope all is healing well.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm improving from my surgery each day, thanks to God's help and everyone's prayers. As it stands right now, if I am totally healed up and have some energy back, they will try to do the reconstruction surgery after the holidays. So, please keep me in your prayers and that will be a happy day to get rid of this ostomy bag.
Patti, thank you so much for the tract you sent me. That has been my motto through all of this - "One Day at a Time". I hope you continue to heal from your fall.
